Plots That Fail

PLOTS THAT FAIL

Psalms 2:1 - Why do the nations rebel? Why are the countries devising plots that will fail?

Psalms 2:1 -- Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

People can only "devise plots that fail" if they do not have an inward knowledge of Jesus Christ. Self-assurance and futility are the only things that they can rely on.

Unbelievers are certainly guilty of this. But unfortunately, this is the case with many Christians. There are many people who believe they know more about God than they actually do.

A Jesus they have made up of their own selves is the one they follow. Fables and myths have replaced the truth in their minds. Instead of experiencing a revelation, they are duped by their own delusions.

CHRIST FORMED IN US

God has a different plan in mind. He aspires to bring out the best in each one of us. He wants to form us into the likeness and image of Christ, bringing us to a deeper understanding of Jesus. Only by coming to know Jesus Christ can we find comfort from the futility of human reasoning.

Galatians 4:19 -- My children – I am again undergoing birth pains until Christ is formed in you!

THE TRUTH IS CHRIST

In the end, we can either accept the truth in Christ and allow it to change us, or we can try to change the truth to fit our own preferences and desires. The former will free us to follow Christ's lead.

As a result, we will be bound to our imaginations even more tightly by religious—carnal flesh. However, Jesus promised that God would always be looking out for our best interests to transform us.

We can only be freed from the power of the flesh if we grow in our knowledge of Him. We can only discern the truth if we are united with Christ. Knowing Jesus Christ is the source of all Christian discernment.

THE SON'S INHERITANCE

Psalms 2:7-9 -- The king says, “I will announce the LORD’s decree. He said to me: ‘You are my son! This very day I have become your father! Ask me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the ends of the earth as your personal property. You will break them with an iron scepter; you will smash them like a potter’s jar!’”

The gospel of John refers to Jesus Christ as "the only begotten Son of God" four times. Both "the uniquely begotten Son of God" and "the only begotten Son of God" are acceptable translations because Jesus was the ONLY Son the Father had begotten in this manner. The rest of God's children are descended from and inherited from Jesus Christ.

John 1:14 -- And the Word was made flesh, and dwelled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 1:18 -- No man has seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.

John 3:16 -- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:18 -- He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

IN THE SON

The Father, Son, and all those who are in Christ are God's family. Those who are born from above "in" the Son will receive everything the Father promised the Son in this passage. In a nutshell, all that God has to give to humanity is found in Christ. We have a heavenly throne all to ourselves in Christ.

We are heirs to eternal life because of Him. To sit with Him in His throne, as He sits with the Father in His throne, is what we are called to do here on Earth. Nothing that God has to offer can be given apart from the one and only God-begotten Son.

Believers are laying the groundwork and sowing the seeds right now. According to Paul, God has "blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ."

Ephesians 1:3 -- Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ.

Our inheritance has not been given to us by God. No. God has given us Christ, and that means that He has given us everything that He has given to Christ. We are joint-heirs. We have become one with Christ in this life and the next.

In Him, we find all that we could ever need.

Blessings,

Godwin.

Yes very true. God has given us Christ. Such joy we forfeit by pretending to inherit blessings following the traditions of men, and following a Jesus fabricated by our own ideas. Thank you Bro Godwin for giving such insights that helps renew our minds. The Lord bless you abundantly 🙏🏻
